A long time ago, GranDracmon took hold of the digital world, and the digimon were cast into fear. He was an evil and malevolent ruler he destroyed all opposition and never allowed any competition, making him a bloodthirsty tyrant. One day while he sat in his throne room, a strange boy accompanied by and even stranger digimon walked up to his throne, and asked him kindly to put an end to his tyranny. GranDracmon laughed at the boy thinking, it was some sort of joke, but he looked down at the boy and saw that he was completely serious. There was no fear reflected in his face, and he stared down the evil ruler as though he were less than nothing, his contempt gaze angered GranDracmon. GranDracmon stood up and suddenly attacked the tamer and his digimon. However, the tamer's digimon stopped the attack with relative ease, making GranDracmon even angrier. The two digimon fought an amazing battle, both trading attacks back and forth, but when it looked like there would be no victor the tamer's digimon did a strange thing: he called to the heavens. Suddenly, a massive beam of holy energy rained down upon GranDracmon. After the dust cleared from the attack, only a trail of data remained. The digimon rejoiced and hailed the boy as a hero, but just as soon as he had come, the boy left.
The digimon didn't think much of it and lived in peace for a few years, but after a while the boy returned to a small village and was welcomed just as warmly as he was when he left. Although something was different: he had a strange look in his eyes, it seemed almost... evil. The boy looked around at all the digimon and then turned to his partner. "Kill them all.", he said, and before the digimon could even react the tamer's digimon went berserk and slaughtered the entire village. There wasn't a single digimon alive who could even put up a fight against him. The boy told them to build him a massive castle and make him the ruler of the digital world. If they met his demands he would he stop his assault. Of course, the digimon did what he told them to, and the digital world had a new ruler. Still though, the digimon thought something was amiss- how could such a hero turn evil? The digimon refused to believe he was the same boy, so they slowly reached the consensus that the boy was an imposter, and this gave them hope.
One day when The Tamer assembled his troops and entered into the mountain in search of a strong digimon that was rumored to live there, a champion of old. The Tamer and his Dark Knights stood outside of a small hut as The Tamer demanded the digimon come forth. Stepping out of the house was Sir Knight Leomon, a digimon who had fought in the great war, and was once considered the greatest fighter in the digital world. With out fear The Tamer asked Leomon to Join him. With a short breath and a quick Glance Leomon said shortly "No, I will never join such evil."
The Tamer shook his head and with a single hand motion sent his Knights at Leomon, with a loud shout Leomon sent them all flying back and vanished into thin air. Leaving nothing but his hut to be destroyed.
Leomon Decided he could no longer live in the shadows and had to do something to restore peace to the world that he once almost gave his life to free in the once great war. He lost so many allies that he swore he would never get involved in the worlds affairs again, but this time he couldn't keep silent. He went and formed a Resistance and slowly gained more power. This was the last glimmer of hope for the Digital World.
